Seal Tacos with Harbour Seal

Ingredients

  • Seal 
  • 1 Tbsp bacon fat
  • 1 Tomato
  • ¼ cup onion
  • ¼ cup peppers (sweet or bell)
  • Cilantro
  • Garnish with lettuce
  • 1 tsp Chilli Powder
  • ½ tsp black Pepper
  • Pinch of garlic powder
  • Pinch Cumin 
  • Dash of Paprika
  • Salsa
  • Seasonal Berries

Instructions

  1. Slice tomatoes. 
  2. Chop a handful of cilantro.
  3. Turn on the burner to medium heat.
  4. Use 1 tbsp bacon fat and add to the pan.
  5. Slice up the seal meat into long narrow strips, remove fat, and mince.
  6. Add meat to a hot pan, with ¼ cup diced onion.
  7. Add 1 tsp chili powder, ½ tsp black pepper, pinch of garlic powder.
  8. Add in ¼ cup diced peppers.
  9. Add a pinch of cumin.
  10. And a few dashes of paprika.
  11. Mix.
  12. Add in a bit of bean juice from kidney beans.
  13. Grate a ¼ cup of cheese, and set aside.
  14. Place the filling into the taco shell and top with cheese.
  15. Squeeze some lime juice on top, and sprinkle with some lettuce and tomato.
  16. Spoon some salsa overtop, and add some seasonal berries. In this case blackberries.
  17. Finish with cilantro.
