Maple Scallops with Herb Butter Baked Lobster Tail


  • Lobster Tail
  • Scallops
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp maple syrup
  • Sprig of fresh parsley


  • 2 tbsp butterĀ 
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp pesto
  • Seasoning salt
  • Pepper


  1. Preheat oven to 450.
  2. Cut off legs of lobster with shears.
  3. Cut down the spine of the tail with shears, breaking open the tail.
  4. Pull out the flesh and let it sit just on top of the tail.
  5. Dry out lobster tail and scallops with paper towel.
  6. Sprinkle paprika, and a dash of pepper.
  7. Drizzle 1 tbsp olive oil on top.
  8. Place into cast iron skillet and place in oven.
  9. Cook for 15 minutes, on broil for the last 5.
  10. Season scallops with salt and pepper, and a dash of garlic powder.
  11. Place butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
  12. Place the bigger side of the scallop face down in the pan.
  13. Fry about 2 mins per side.
  14. Scoop up the butter and pour it over the scallops while frying, and add 1 tsp maple syrup.
  15. Turn burner off and allow to cook for another minute.
  16. Plate with lobster tail. Drizzle pan sauce over scallops, herb butter over lobster tail, and garnish with fresh parsley.


  1. Place pan on medium heat, and add 2 tbsp butter.
  2. Put 1 tsp of garlic paste, and 1 tsp pesto into pan.
  3. Add a few dashes of seasoning salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Remove from heat.
